About papers and prenstations
Deadline for paper presentation on 1st May 2018 is mandatory only for those applying for Dinerman Award. There are no specific requirements, however on average papers run 15-25 pages of text (minus references, abstracts, tables, etc.).
To stimulate discussion, full papers or PowerPoint presentations are due to session chairs and discussants 15th June 2018.

Call for participation
The World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) is pleased to announce its 71st annual conference will be held for the first time in the WANA region. The four-day conference will convene 27-30 June 2018 in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Public Opinion Research in a Changing World
The 71st WAPOR Annual Conference program will highlight these issues, namely questions relating to how public opinion operates – and can be measured – in these changing environments and how it should operate in order to better serve society. Paper topics will focus on all aspects of public opinion. These topics include, but are not restricted to:
- Methodological challenges and improvements, including in the areas of sampling, measurement, survey design and survey response or non-response
- Challenges of comparative research and International Survey Projects, cross-cultural concerns in data collection and measurement issues
- New sources of information on public opinion and the use of social media to voice public opinion
- News, media, journalism and public opinion
- Political behavior, participation and culture
- Electoral polls in emerging/incomplete democracies
- Social media, big data, sentiment analysis, and emerging technologies
Submission Process
The submission deadline for proposals for the 71st Annual Conference being held in Marrakesh, Morocco during the dates of June 27-30, 2018 has passed. Announcements for decisions will be on or after February 15, 2018.
